That’s great! I think that can differ a lot based on where one comes from and which part of Japan you’ll be living in. I’m from India and something that I found surprising was the traffic behaviour. Pedestrians are given like the highest priority so they’ll stop a mile away until you walk across.

Another is that if you have company with you, that’s nice. But if you’re coming alone to a remote part of Japan (like me), I think it can get super lonely - especially if youre not fluent with Japanese. Thankfully after a few months, I’ve managed to make some cool friends so I think I like this place :)
